Welcome to the Supply Chain Best Practice Forum.

The  Supply Chain Best Practice Forum is a group of manufacturing companies who meet quarterly with the following objectives:

  • To discuss factors and processes relating to identifying and achieving supply chain “Best Practice”
  • To enhance understanding – customer requirements, developments, trends, regulations,
  • To identify barriers to improvement
  • To identify opportunities for “learning” between companies
  • To identify opportunities for collaboration between companies
  • To discuss topics of specific interest to the Group
  • To provide data and measures of interest to Members

Current participants are: ABF Grocery; AB World Foods; Bernard Matthews; Bettys & Taylors of Harrogate; Birds Eye; Burton’s Foods; Fox’s Biscuits; General Mills; HJ Heinz; John West; Jordans & Ryvita; Kimberly Clark Consumer; Kimberly Clark Professional; Miller Brands; Pepsico; Reckitt Benckiser; Silver Spoon; Tata Global Beverages; Tate & Lyle; Twinings; Unilever and United Biscuits with many other companies interested in joining for the next meeting in June.

Each Quarterly meeting includes a general discussion on market developments together with specific topics agreed in advance by the Members.

The next meeting is on 28 June 2012 and the topics to be discussed are:

The Annual Membership fee for participation in the Forum is £1800 which entitles each company to attend up to four meetings per year.  Members also qualify for a £1,500 discount off the SCALA Annual Benchmarking Study and have access to this Members Only website which includes information and a discussion forum.
